The China Yiwu International Forest Product Fair was started in 2008. It has already successfully been held for two sessions. In 2009, it was upgraded to be hosted by China State Forestry Administration and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. Yiwu International Product Fair is a green, low-carbon and environmental-protection fair. It is famous for its international level, strong information function and complete service system. Its scale, turnover and influence led the way among other forest exhibitions in Asia. In 2009, it was crowned “One of the Ten Most Promising Exhibition”. At the same time, it was also listed in the 2009 One of the Ten Forestry Industry News in China and 2009 One of the Ten Rural News in Zhejiang. 

China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair (Forest Fair for short) was initially held in 2008 with the joint sponsorship of State Forestry Bureau and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. It is also hailed as one of “the top-10 potential exhibitions of China in 2009”. The Forest Fair in 2011 will accommodate 1,800 international standard booths, covering seven categories of products including bamboo & wood household supplies, bamboo & wood handicrafts, bamboo & wood articles for daily use, forest leisure products, forest food, flower and gardening products, and forestry machinery.
