Amoy & Amoy Port

Amoy is administered as  a sub-provincial city of Fujian province,with an area of 1,573 square kilometers and population of 3.53 million. It is one of the municipalities with independent planning statues and also one of the five original Special Economic Zones opened to foreign investment and trade. In 2007, its foreign export value is 70.167 billion dollars.

The large and small Golden Gate are the natural barrier of Amoy Port, coasting overall length 154 kilometers, 31.6 kilometers are suitable for port construction. There are exiting anchorage ground accumlates 18.99 suqare kilometers, planning anchorage ground 52 square kilometers. The port entrance  is about 40.3 kilometers. The water is 14m deep. The 100 thousand tons level ship can departure by tide. By 2010, Amoy can handle 80 millon tons of cargo,8 million TEU of containers.
