Port of Dalian is located in the center of northwest Pacific, is the most convenient port to transport the goods from Far East, South Asia, North America and Europe. The area of free water is 346 kilometers, land area is more than 10 square kilometers, have 80 modern berths for containers, crude oil,refined oil, grain,coal, ore,chemical products. Out of the 80 berths, 40 are deep water berths for vessels of over 10000 tons. Have shipping links with Hongkong, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe. In 2003, the port’s cargo throughput reached 126 million tons,167 million TEU containers, it is one of the world’s hundred million ton big port. In 2005, the thoughput of cargos reached 170 million, 3 million TEU containers. The construction investment of the important project reached 6 billion Yuan.
