Canton & Canton Port

One of the five center cities of China, the capital city of Canton Province, the center of economic, financial, trade, cultural, science, transportation and eduction in Southern China. 

The largest and most historical foreign trading port in southern China, and one of the famous harbor city in the world. Canton is the important open city in China, as a window of foreign trade, there are a lot of people gathering here and treated as “ the capital of the third world”

Port of Canton is the forth largest port of China, located in the center of Pearl River Delta, where is the most dynamic economic regions. Canton Port is comprised of the Humen harbor, Xinsha harbor, Huangpu harbor and Canton inner harbor. Canton Port has shipping links with more than 500 ports in over 100 countries and regions of the world, it is the largest foreign trade port in southern China. The port handles a range of activities which include loading & discharging, storage, bonded warehousing, container cargo services. Many agricultral, industrial and manufactured products are shipped through the port which include oil, coal, grain, chemical fertilizer, steel, ore and automobiles. The port also provide passenger services as well as logistics services. In 2004, port of Canton is experiencing an increase in cargo volume, there are 215 million tons through the whole year. In 2005, Canton reached 250.93 million tons.
